Emily Mintman is a Senior Product Manager and Design Strategist at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. Working within the Tactical Advancements for the Next Generation (TANG) Program, Emily and her team leverage human-centered design and design thinking methods to solve complex challenges and deliver front-end innovation for the US DoD. Emily leads diverse teams through designing and developing solutions to address warfighter and sponsor needs. She has worked on a variety of projects, navigating challenges including understanding resiliency in the United States Navy, measuring proficiency and competency in Surface Navy combat, and designing and informing future systems, processes, and products for the military in 2030 and beyond. Emily earned her MBA from Johns Hopkins University and her MA in Design Leadership from Maryland Institute College of Art.
