Sharan Majumdar is a Professor of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Miami. He earned his B.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Mathematics at Cambridge University. He investigates the predictability and processes of tropical cyclone formation and structural changes, including sensitivity diagnostics, ensemble prediction, verification, optimizing observing systems, data assimilation, and risk communication.
