DescriptionSince its inception in the early 2000’s, the Agile framework positioned itself as the antithesis of the traditional waterfall approach. Agile was a reaction to Waterfall’s heavy upfront planning, documentation, and rigidity in the face of evolving business needs. But how have the promises of rapid and flexible development translated into the real world? In official training, one hears promises of self-organizing teams but are they really?

This panel will focus on the practical realities of Agile by bringing a combined 35 years’ experience creating products and services in this framework. By comparing their observations and sharing their insights, this panel will provide tools the audience can apply to their daily lives as a customer advocate in the face of a fast moving, often misunderstood, methodology.

This panel is the continuation of the “APPLYING DESIGN THINKING: TALES FROM THE FIELD” offered during the HFES 2020 meeting.
